Altair brings AI model-token invoice settlement to XRPL AI Hub

Altair serves business customers through an API that routes requests to AI models. It meters model-token consumption for each customer and produces billing statements based on that activity.

The integration connects this existing billing workflow to XRPL at the daily invoice level. Model requests continue through Altair's API, while accumulated model-token consumption is billed through daily invoices. Agents can pay those invoices without requiring an on-chain payment for every model call.

For XRPL, this creates a way to settle bills for AI model tokens that businesses already consume. It connects existing service demand to the ledger's agentic payments ecosystem.

An agent or payer accesses Altair's x402 settlement resource for an existing invoice. The resource presents payment terms in RLUSD, with the amount determined by the invoice. The payer can then settle to an Altair-controlled merchant address on XRPL.

Our XRPL x402 facilitator provides payment verification and settlement. A publicly recorded Altair RLUSD invoice payment incurred an XRPL network fee of just 10 drops (0.00001 XRP), making the ledger cost of invoice-level settlement effectively negligible. Altair's merchant profile on XRPL AI Hub lists Altair Daily Invoice Settlement as an active resource with variable RLUSD pricing.

The next stage we're working toward is connecting Claw Credit to agents mapped to individual Altair customers. The intended experience would let those agents use credit to automate daily invoice payments on each customer's behalf. This customer-level automation remains planned integration work.
